How to Set Up Voicemail on iPhone 5s

The first time you hit voicemail, iPhone prompts you to create a voicemail password and record your voicemail greeting.

 

Change your greeting:

  1. Voicemail tap, tap greeting and then tap Custom.
  2. Tap when you’re ready to start.
  3. When finished, tap Stop. To review, touch play. To re-record, repeat steps 2 and 3.
  4. Touch Save.

Use your carrier’s default ringtone
Tap on voicemail, tap greeting, and then tap Default.
Set an alert sound for new voice mail
In settings, choose sounds and activate new voice mail. The alert sounds once for each new voicemail. If the ring / Silent switch is off, iPhone will not sound alerts.
Change your voicemail password
Under Settings, choose Phone> Change Mailbox Password.
