- Turn off the notebook. Having the computer increases your chances of getting an electric shock.
- Insert the square screwdriver into the head of the stripped screw. Make sure you have a screwdriver small enough to fit on a screw.
- Apply pressure to the screw when you turn it counterclockwise. Slowly continue to support the screw until the heat is free from the computer.
- Hold the screw with a pair of pliers, if it is easier, and remove the rest of the screw from the notebook.
